I had the user test print some pages (10-15) and she said it's much better. Now it shows up correctly and the correct driver has been chosen in the remote session. Then, I remoted back into the users workstation and removed the local instance of the Dell B2360dn and connected it to the server shared instance of that printer. I took a closer look at the enhanced point and print driver and saw it was type 4 so I immediately removed the print driver that Windows Update used for the Dell B2360dn and selected to use the "Dell Printer Driver V2 XL" universal driver as that's a type 3 driver. I think that's why it's slower now as opposed to to when it was working on a terminal session on server 2003. If I have the print queue open, I can see each one sent individually one at a time. The business app prints let's say 100 orders. I've done some more searching this morning and it looks like the drivers found from Windows updates in Server 2012 R2 are type 4 drivers which take longer to print when printing volume as they spool entirely before printing and that seems to be the issue we are having here.
